Jesus spoke in parables, without a parable He did not speak. After speaking publicly to the multitudes in parables, when the crowd was gone, He then expounded upon all things to His disciples, teaching them His interpretation for the parable. Revelation was no different – Jesus taught His disciples everything they needed to know to interpret the important parable of Revelation that He would give them after He was gone. It was written to save their lives from God’s vengeance and wrath that was about to be poured out on their two archenemies, for the destruction of the city and sanctuary was at hand! As with all of Jesus’s parables, they each have an interpretation for His disciples and an interpretation for His enemies. I’ll also show you how the Romans interpreted this letter as the return of Romulus to help them (the Children of God) defeat Israel during the Roman-Jewish war (the Beast of the Sea) and Christians (the Beast of the Land), and how the Sanhedrin interpreted this letter as the advent of their Messiah to help them (the Children of God) defeat the Romans (the Beast of the Sea) and Christians (the Beast of the Land). Jesus had to get His letter of Revelation distributed throughout Rome and Israel and the rest of the world fairly quickly to give His own disciples a final warning so they would not be caught in His imminent vengeance and wrath on His enemies. So how did He accomplish this difficult task? He used His two archenemies that He was about to destroy to distribute it for Him!
